In Rexburg, Idaho, there is a nice park where locals can go walk, enjoy bird watching, and relax. On one such occasion in the early months of my wife’s pregnancy, we decided that we had spent too much time cooped up inside, and that we were going to go to the nature park so I could take some photos and she could walk.

The ducks at the nature park are very friendly and you can pay a quarter for some duck food to feed them. As such, they weren’t very camera shy when I came up to them, and they made for excellent models. Some of the ducks even seemed to smile. I did have to sneak up and take some pictures of some of the more shy ducks through the branches, but it paid off. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the shoot.
